anon - that's the big question, what happens if there's gridlock for two years? do people blame the white house, do people blame congress or do people blame both equally.
but i'm inclined to agree with you to some extent, which is why the dems better step up quick with core legislative priorities to push the issue. if they instead use their bully pulpit to focus on punishing the president and republicans for being mean to them over the last 6 years, they can squander the momentum they've built.
2 years to fix stuff?! The Republicans have had since 2000 to wreck the place. It's gonna take more than twice that long just to fix New Orleans, not to mention Iraq.
